EXCITING NEWS!!!

We found out about a month ago that Ethan's adoption will be finalized in September!!!! We are SOOOO excited and cannot wait. Ethan will be sealed to us on September 27, 2008 in the Mesa, Arizona Temple. This is going to be such a special day for us.
I clearly remember every detail when Hollie was sealed to us back in November 2007. That day was one of the most spiritual days that Ryan and I have experienced next to our own Temple marriage. Having a child sealed to you for time and all eternity is such a blessing.
I am so grateful for the Temple and the blessings that it has brought and continues to bring to our family.
We will also be blessing Ethan that next Sunday and are excited for that spiritual event also. It will be a FABULOUS weekend and we cannot wait. We are doing much preparation in getting ready because it's a great time to celebrate with our family and close friends.
I have loved looking at white outfits for Ethan and white dresses for Hollie. There are so many beautiful one's out there. Now, I just have to pick one of my favorites and that always seems to be the hardest part because I love so many. I will post pictures when I finally make my decision.
The date is right around the corner and September 2008 will be a VERY special month for our family-Hooray!!!

Where has the time gone?

I tell ya, these weeks just fly by and then I realize I haven't posted in awhile and have a lot to update. So, here comes the update. Lots of good and exciting stuff. The adventure's of the Larson family continue and Life is GREAT!!

Best Friends!

Hollie and Ethan are the best of friends! It's so fun to watch them interact. One of my most favorite moments of the whole day is in the morning when Ethan and I go to wake upHollie. The smile on both of their faces when they see eachother is so rewarding!! Hollie pops right up and screams and squeals and gives Ethan lots of hugs and kisses. Ethan just smiles and gets so excited. I just LOVE it and it brings such a smile to my face- a great way to start off the day!

This is at 6:00AM!!! What a happy girl!!

They both LOVE bath time. Anytime I put Ethan in the bath Hollie has to follow, even if she just got out of the bath minutes before. It's so cute to see how much they love being with eachother and I LOVE watching them interact.

Ethan is trying so hard to sit up so my genious of a husband said try the bumbo chair in the tub and he LOVED it!
Here is a cute picture of our two cute and adorable kids.

The cast is off!!

Last Wednesday Hollie got her cast off and what an experience that was. We were preparing her for what was to come and explained how the doctor was going to take the cast off. We thought all was well until we walked into the doctors office. We were not there but a couple minutes and the drama started. I brought Ethan with me this time because I figured we would be in and out quickly and we wouldn't have a problem, boy was I wrong. I sat both kids down and went to the front desk to sign in and pay the co-pay. As I was standing there Hollie came up to me and said, "Mommy". I looked at her and she didn't look to good. I asked her what was wrong and she said, "hold you mommy" and as I went to pick her up she started to gag and luckily the trash can was right there and she threw up in the trash can. The lady at the front desk said, "oh no not again" and jumped back, could you believe it? I just about died. Thank goodness for the trash can. After a few minutes I put the trash can aside and went and got a few wipes and guess what, she did it again. This time there was no trash can so it got on her. I didn't think to bring a extra pair of clothes with me this time, why would I? Well, like before we were taken right back. I promise I don't tell Hollie to throw up just so we get back faster, I don't mind waiting, really. Back we went and my poor baby girl was shaking and wouldn't let me put her down, remember I had Ethan too. We got the cast off with no problem except for a lot of pink fiber glass all over us. The doctor wanted to take one more x-ray to check out her elbow and so I left Ethan in our room and one of the ladies watched him for me and all I could hear was him screaming, I have to say I just laughed to myself. We finished with the x-ray and I get back in the room, the doctor looks at Hollie and she breaks down screaming and crying, now I have 2 crying babies- holy cow!! I quickly got Ethan a bottle and he was good for a few minutes and I just held Hollie tight and told her all the doctor is going to do is look at your arm. We eventually got through that and as we were leaving Ethan decides to explode in his pants. I just laughed my two children and their bodily functions. All I know is we have left a lasting impression in that office and we will NEVER be forgotten. We do have a follow-up appointment next week and I guarantee that they will have a "warning" sign by our name. I just may have to bring a big bag with a few extra pairs of clothes, a bucket, towels and lots and lots of wipes. No worries I will be bringing all the ladies in there something to Thank them for ALL they do for us every time we come in.
So our thoughts are this. When Hollie is scared or gets anxiety she throws up. I guess I need to be a better prepared mom with everything I need sitting in the back of my car so, when this happens I am prepared!

What Now?

Oh my goodness gracious our little princess is keeping me on my toes. This morning I got out of the shower and found her covered in minty smelling tourquise stuff. Can you guess what it was, toothpaste! She got into the toothpast and put it all over her legs, arms and face and used it as lotion. Once again all I could do was laugh and run and grab the camera. She is just one funny girl. I guess that toothpaste needs to go up on the TOP TOP shelf of my closest along with my makeup. Hollie loves brushing her teeth and know's that what she had was toothpaste, but maybe she just felt like putting it on her skin instead of her teeth. What a funny girl. I just love all these new adventures. Hollie has always been a pretty easy girl. She never got into cupboards, drawers, never climbed until just recently and she has kept me on my toes! I guess it's time to pull out those locks to put them on the drawers too.

What a CHUNK!!!

Our growing Ethan is getting chunkier and chunkier by the day! He is doing better and as long as we keep a full stomach he seems to be great! Isn't that how it is with all men, a full stomach is a happy man.
Ethan is LOVING his cereal and eats LOTS of it. Sometimes I am shocked at how much he will eat, but I am not complaining I love chunky babies. You would think he would be sleeping through the night with all that he eats, but nope not yet. He did it once and that was all, he just wanted to trick us. Last night he woke up three times and he ate twice. You may be saying why don't you let him cry it out, well we let him cry for 45 minutes and he kept both Ryan and I up and so we decided to give him a bottle and he downed it and was back to sleep in 20 minutes. I tell ya, he LOVES to eat! And yes, he has been sleeping in his room for the last few weeks and does great, but still wakes up.

He is getting quite the personality and knows exactly how to get attention and that is to scream. He LOVES to be held and ofcourse I love to cuddle with him, so that's good. He is very much a momma's boy and I love that too. He is smiling so much and loves his big sister. She can make him laugh for quite awhile and it's really cute. On Sunday while I was in Relief Society Ethan was being so loud and for the first time it wasn't because he was crying he was talking up a storm and was sooo happy. I just loved it and wished I had the video camera because he was on a roll. I ended up taking him out because he was being to cute and disruptive. I am so glad he is doing better. We do have our rough days but overall I think we are improving some. We love and cherish the good days and we also love and cherish the moments where all we can do is sit down and hold him and try to console him. Those are all good days and we LOVE it.

Princess Hollie

I just love my little Hollie. She can be the biggest sinker and she can be the sweetest most cuddliest and loveable girl ever! She picked this shirt out to wear today and then she wanted to put on her "cool" glasses and have me take her picture. How could a mom resist? We had so much fun and she was definetly sporting the little attitude with it. She is just the CUTEST girl ever!! Man, I love her to pieces. She is mommy's girl and I love it. We paint nails (every morning), do hair, pick out clothes, shopping (she loves to shop-thank goodness), play dolls and all the girly things you can think of. I am so grateful for you Hollie you are my princess and always will be.

Bounce U

Last Thursday we went with a couple of our friends and 7 kids to Bounce U. We had a BLAST! There was nothing better to do to wear the kids out than take them to go bounce for 2 hours. Hollie LOVED every bit of it and bounced out all of her energy. She loved sliding down the slides, climbing up the walls, trying to climb the spider wall and just jumping and bouncing. It was a lot of fun and the kids all loved it.

As you can see the cast didn't stop her again. She was trying so hard to climb up the wall and used her right arm to help pull herself up the rope. I tell ya, she is amazing! I loved watching her do things and figure them out. She made it up the wall and slid down the other side.
This was the spider Mountain and as you could probably see it was for bigger kids, but Hollie was determined to get up and she did it! Good Job!

Makeup, WHAT!!!?

Oh, my goodness I have learned that complete silence in our home is not a good thing. A couple days ago Hollie asked to watch a movie in mommy and daddy's bed. I said that was fine, because I was trying to get dinner made and Ethan was taking a nap, so a movie for Hollie was great! We put in the "Princess Movie" and she was good and happy with a snack, juice and a movie. I went downstairs to finish up dinner and while I was finishing I had this thought that it was really quite upstairs and either Hollie was asleep or she was into something. When I got upstairs I just about died when I found Hollie putting on my makeup! At first I laughed, grabbed my camera and took a quick picture. Then I thought how in the world did she get my makeup bag. Well, she climbed up on the bathtub and then climbed up onto the counter and was smart enough to not sit on the counter so she took it all to the floor. I couldn't get mad because maybe I should keep it on the TOP TOP shelf of my closet and maybe she can't get to it next time. It was really cute and she just amazed me because she put the foundation under her eyes, that's where I put mine and she was starting to put eyeliner on her eyes, that scared me because we don't need her poking her eyes out. Lesson learned, don't keep your makeup bag on the counter of your bathroom, keep it up REALLY high. My cute, sweet, precious little Hollie who wants to be more and more like mommy everyday.

A Cast DOESN'T stop her!

Hollie continues to amaze me every single day. Although she has a cast on her right arm (what we think is her dominant arm) it doesn't stop her from doing ANYTHING!! She will find a way to do what ever it is she wants to do. She hits golf balls with daddy just about every night when he gets home, she climbs up the swingset and slide, she rides her bike, she runs, falls and still jumps on the bed!! I am not sure if she learned the leason NOT to jump on a bed, but time will tell. She is just amazing and very entertaining to watch. Well, the other day Ethan had awaken from his nap and was laying in his crib happy and playing, so I thought I would finish what I was doing and go up to get him. I could hear him over the monitor and he was talking up a storm, it was so cute to listen to. Well, I hear this "Mommy, baby awake" and I said yes, he is and we can go and get him in just a minute. Before I knew it Hollie was up the stairs and in his room talking to him. She gets so excited when he wakes up from a nap she just can't stand it. I quickly finished what I was doing and went upstairs and as I walked in his room I found Hollie IN HIS CRIB!! It was seriously not even 2 minutes and she was already upstairs in his room in his crib. That girl amazes me. Even with a broken arm she managed to climb up the crib and get in. Her and Ethan sat there for a few minutes and she was making him laugh and they were having the funest time, it was fun for me to watch. Then Hollie wanted me to take pictures of her cast so we did. She LOVES to have people sign it and it's one full cast. The other night we went out to dinner and our waiter was asking what happened to her arm and she put her arm out and said "sign cast" it was so cute. He went and got a marker and signed it, Hollie was very excited and wanted to follow him around the restaurant, but that couldn't happen. He did leave us with a very nice compliment and that was that we have 2 of the cutest kids he had ever seen. That made us feel good and ofcourse we agreed. Ethan was being so good too and was FULL of smiles.
